Update your status: Are you taking new patients?
Keep your provider directory data up to date
One of the most common provider directory issues we hear from our members is the accuracy of whether or not a provider is accepting new patients at a particular location. When the information isn’t correct, members may think they can schedule an appointment with a provider, only to find out that they’re not accepting new patients at that location, or a member may assume a provider is not accepting patients and miss out on scheduling when the provider is actually available.
We understand that the ability to accept new patients or not can change frequently based on capacity. That’s why we encourage you to use our directory as a tool to either fill your schedule or reduce the calls of patients trying to schedule.
Ways to update your data
Please review your provider data and make any necessary updates using one of the following methods:
- CAQH® Provider Data Portal
- Existing users: Sign in to your CAQH Provider Data Portal account
- New users: Go to CAQH Provider Data Portal to create a new, secure account and review the CAQH Provider Data Portal for Providers User Guide
- Delegates: If you currently use CAQH Provider Data Portal for Groups, log in to your account. If you’re currently not a user but interested in learning more about how you can use this tool to more efficiently update and transmit your rosters, contact caqh_uhc@uhc.com.
- My Practice Profile is available through the UnitedHealthcare Provider Portal
- To access My Practice Profile, go to UHCprovider.com and select Sign In at the top-right corner
- Enter your One Healthcare ID
- New users without a One Healthcare ID: Visit the portal registration page to get started
- From the top menu bar, select Practice Management > My Practice Profile
- If you have trouble accessing the portal or My Practice Profile, please email providertechsupport@uhc.com

- Roster submissions: If your demographic updates are currently submitted on a roster, please follow the roster process for your updates
