New Jersey Medicaid: Unbundle maternity codes to avoid claim denials

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New Jersey doesn’t allow bundling maternity care services for claim submissions. You must bill all maternity procedures separately with the correct date of service.

Maternity care includes the following:

Antepartum care
Delivery services
Postpartum care
