When adding or updating a location in Onboard Pro or My Practice Profile, selecting the correct care setting(s) plays an important role in how we set up and use your address information. That’s why we’ve added new care settings to help ensure accuracy across claims processing, provider directory listings and credentialing and contracting workflows.
Care settings describe how and where care is delivered. We offer the following options:
Choosing the option(s) that best reflect your care model allows us to correctly determine whether an address should be used for billing, place of service or both.
For those who deliver care without a traditional physical location, such as virtual only, mobile or certain community-based models, care setting selection may trigger a remote billing address. This designation helps ensure claims are processed correctly and prevents non-physical addresses from appearing in the provider directory as in-person locations.
