Signature requirement policy change for Medicaid home health services
As of Sept. 21, 2022, the Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) changed their signature requirements to let Medicaid-enrolled physicians and other allowed health care professionals sign prior authorizations and order Medicaid home health services.
We’ve updated our policies and standard operating procedure to align with this change. TMHP has started processing prior authorization requests according to the updated rules and the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual will be updated as well.
