Home health review prior authorization updates
Prior authorization no longer required for UnitedHealthcare Dual Special Needs plans
As of Feb. 1, 2023, prior authorization is not required for home health services for UnitedHealthcare Dual Special Needs Plans members. This change applies to members enrolled in D-SNP plans in the following states:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- Florida
- Georgia
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- Maine
- Nebraska
- Ohio
- Oklahoma
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Utah
- Wisconsin
We will continue to require prior authorization from naviHealth for UnitedHealthcare® Medicare Advantage plan members who receive home health services in the states mentioned above.
