To help us accurately track your practice’s performance, be sure that if a member does not show for an appointment or does not move forward with hearing aids, you are properly handing the opportunity off in the UnitedHealthcare Hearing Provider Portal. If a member has more than one opportunity assigned to your practice, please cancel the duplicate opportunity with the reason “Duplicate OP”.
To be paid for a hearing test when a patient does not purchase hearing aids, please hand off with “HT only – No Purchase” in the provider portal within 180 days of the referral date. The date of the test must be on or after the date of referral.
You are not eligible to submit a “HT only – no purchase” opportunity if a patient purchases hearing aids. Please do not create an additional opportunity for the purpose of being paid for a hearing test.
